Aileen’s Wave

Aileen‘s Wave is an infamous exposed reef break beneath the Burren and Cliffs of Moher in County Clare

This huge wave has me in awe each time I see it or read about it, the height and power as it swells and breaks, draws me in every time its almost hypnotic. Created with pigmented resin and lots of movement to capture this stunning natural beauty.

I captured the movement in layers of pigmented resin swelling up to create a crest, I love the anticipation waiting on a wave to break, it’s like I take a breath in that moment and appreciate the beauty of the Atlantic.
